FALL RIVER… Theresa D. (Freitas) Lindo, age 67, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Fall River Health Care.
A lifelong resident of the city, Theresa was the daughter of the late John and Leona (Leach) Freitas. She was the beloved wife of Jose Lindo of Fall River, MA.
Theresa was a dedicated parishioner of Espirito Santo Church in Fall River, working there for many years as the secretary. She was very involved with her church community and was known for her generous nature, always willing to lend a helping hand. Theresa enjoyed traveling and taking scenic rides. But most of all, she was the pillar of her family, bringing everyone together for holidays and family gatherings. She especially treasured her time spent with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, survivors include: son, Joseph Lindo and daughter in law Sara of Fall River, MA; daughter, Stephanie Demelo and her husband Daniel of Fall River, MA; grandchildren, Taylor, Amelia and Joey; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, the late Benjamin Freitas and the late Christine Bryan.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will take place at 10:45 AM on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA 02723 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Espirito Santo Church, 311 Alden Street, Fall River. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 10:45 AM in the funeral home prior to Mass. Interment will take place at Notre Dame Cemetery on Stafford Road.
