Loyd Wayne Fletcher, 74, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Pruitt Health in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, January 13, 2024, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Mark Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in the Eureka Cemetery, in Irwin County, Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Fletcher was born March 28, 1949, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Marion Henry & Mary Dona Livingston Fletcher. He worked in lawncare and NAPA for many years. Mr. Fletcher was a loving, gentle, kind soul and always wore a cowboy hat and boots. He was a member of Waterloo Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, Dewayne Fletcher & Diana of Moultrie; a grandson, Payton Dayne Fletcher; a brother, Floyd Fletcher of Irwin County and Ronald Fletcher of Irwin County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Lea Fletcher; two brothers: George Fletcher and Tom Fletcher and a sister, Mary Ann Fletcher.
