Obituary

Thomas J. Ford, a longtime resident of Charlestown and originally from Dorchester, entered into eternal life suddenly on Thursday January 4, 2024. He was 62 years of age.

Thomas was born in Boston on December 16, 1961, a son of the late Henry P. "Skip" Ford and Anna (Marsden) Ford. He initially grew up in Dorchester and was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Thomas worked as a Special Heavy Equipment Operator for Boston Water and Sewer for over 20 years. He enjoyed listening to music and watching the Three Stooges, a show which inspired his sarcastic personality and enjoyment for playing practical jokes. Thomas cherished his family above all else.

Thomas is the beloved son of the late Henry P. "Skip" Ford and Anna (Marsden) Ford. He is the dear brother of Mary Niederberger and her husband Mark, Alice Ford, Anne Marie Ford, and Richard Ford. He is the loving uncle to his Goddaughter Julianna, Lauren, Richard T. Ford Jr, and great-uncle to Jason, Giovanni, Joseph Thomas, Justin, and Killian. He is the dearest friend of Laureen McMurray, and lifelong friend of Mikey O'Neill.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Thomas's Funeral Mass on Friday morning, January 12, 2024, at 10 A.M. in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Parking attendants provided. His burial will be private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
