Maria Rosa Welch (60) of Bridgewater died January 3rd in the Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was the wife of John Welch of Brockton.
She was born in Tarrafal, Santiago, Cabo Verde daughter of the late Augustino Pedro Varela and Cicilia DaSilva. Maria was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church and enjoyed cooking and socializing with family and friends.
In addition to her husband she is survived by 3 sons, Jose Furtado of Fall River, Osvaldino Moreno of Portugal and Valks Moreira of Cabo Verde, 2 daughters, Katia Levy of Bridgewater and Jociline DaSilva of Cabo Verde, 7 grandchildren including Igor, Kateliany, Fabio and 4 in Cabo Verde.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Saturday January 13th from 5-8 pm. Funeral Services and Burial to take place in Taffafal, Cabo Verde.
