FALL RIVER… Jacqueline “Jackie” A. (Sharples) Labrie, age 72, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at St. Anne’s Hospital surrounded by family. A lifelong resident of the city, Jackie was born in Fall River to the late Alan and Grace (Flanagan) Sharples.
Jackie was known for her sweet, outgoing and kind personality and would help anyone she could. She obtained her LPN nursing degree from Diman and her RN degree from Cape Cod Community College. Jackie was a compassionate and well-respected nurse. Jackie spent most of her career as a Director of Nursing for area nursing homes. She was tremendously proud to be able to serve her community through nursing. Jackie loved to travel and had a passion for bargain shopping. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with and supporting her family, this was her biggest joy in life. Jackie will be remembered as a strong, determined, hard working, thoughtful Christian woman, amazing mother, phenomenal grandmother and great-grandmother, kind friend and dependable colleague.
Jackie leaves behind her only child, Jessica Cyr and her fiancé Christopher Paiva of Fall River, MA; her grandson and best friend Ren Perry and his partner David Nordstrom, grandson Nathan Barton and his wife Melissa and grandson John Gale. She also leaves behind her great-granddaughter (Bellabean) and a great-grandson on the way and many friends.
A memorial service to which family and friends are invited to attend will be held at 7 PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA, 02723 with calling hours held from 5 PM to 7 PM prior to the service.
