Edward C. “Electric Eddie” Calderara ,59,died July 3rd in the Brockton hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Weymouth, son of the late Charles and Claire (Brady) Calderara.
He grew up in Rockland, Whitman and Brockton, a graduate of Brockton High,
Eddie has been a resident of Abington for more than 30 years.
He was a well known electrician in the south shore area, employed by Annese Electric of South Weymouth.
He loved gardening, especially his pepper’s, his music, an avid Red Sox’s and Patriot’s fan.
He is survived by his daughter and son Marie Graff of Plymouth Michael Calderara,of Braintree, loving partner and friend, Jean Foley of Abington, his two sisters and two brothers, Kathryn Panza ,Robert Calderara both of Plymouth, Karen Rogers of West Bridgewater, John Calderara of North Adams, three grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was also the ex-husband of Mary Lou Ripley
His funeral service will be held Thursday July 6th at 8:00 P. M., in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman. Visiting hours Thursday July 6th 3-8.Burial will be at a later date. .Donations may be made in his name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West/Floor 6, Boston, Ma 02445-9924.
