Mrs. Constance A. "Connie" (Gentile) Pirrello, a lifelong resident of Medford passed away at her home on Thursday morning, December 28, 2023. She was followed in death 12 hours later by her loving husband of 70 years, Christopher. Connie and Chris were married on October 24, 1953. She was 92 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 7, 1931, Connie was the beloved daughter of the late John and Mary (Trusiano) Gentile. Connie had a quiet yet strong faith in Christ and was very involved in her parish. She was employed as a Cafeteria Worker for the St. Francis School in Medford for more than 40 years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking for her family, playing cards and games and occasionally visiting Encore. She also loved to sing along with the radio. Nothing pleased Connie more than to find a good bargain. Connie was always responsible for taking care of the family finances and gave generously to her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving children; Mary Pirrello of Medford, Joseph and his wife Dorothy Pirrello of Groveland, Christine Jay of Wakefield and John Andrew, Sr. and his wife Lisa Pirrello of Cumming, Georgia, grandchildren; Katherine and her husband Craig Milligan, Christopher Pirrello, David Jay, Nicole and her husband Justin Antonio, John Andrew, Jr. and his wife Sarah Pirrello, Matthew and his wife Brittany Pirrello and Elizabeth and her husband DJ Bartels, great-grandchildren; Jeremy, Gianna, Benjamin, Charlotte and baby Bartels, siblings; Lillian Cassutt of Newport Coast, California, Marion Tambini of Melrose, Jeannette MacInnis of Medford and John "Jack" Gentile of Wilmington, brother-in-law; Frank Stanford of Peabody, and sister-in-law; Jacqueline Gentile of North Quincy, and many nieces, nephews and godchildren. Connie was also the sister of the late Carmen Gentile, Elizabeth "Betty" Stanford, brothers-in-law; Leon Cassutt, Frank Tambini and Robert MacInnis.
Her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Entombment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home of Medford.
