OLD ORCHARD BEACH- Natalie Taylor (Wheelock)
Age 93 – Passed Peacefully into the Arms of Jesus on December 28th, 2023.
Natalie was born on March 8th, 1930, in Lexington MA to Ralph and Freda (Dorr) Tibbets. She spent her earlier years in both North Berwick, ME and Old Orchard Beach, ME. She met her first husband, Robert W Taylor, at the Saco Grange (Saco, ME) where they both held active memberships. They shared a beautiful marriage of 38 years during which they raised a family of 7 children on the Taylor Dairy Farm (Dayton, ME). As a long time member of the Hollis Center Church, Natalie was a member of the choir and helped with many church suppers.
Her time was filled with her joy of cooking, sewing and knitting. Bob (Robert Taylor) and Natalie opened their home and their hearts to any and all in need. She blessed those around her with her gift for hospitality, serving the church and community as a whole. Friends, family, guests – all were welcome in the home for meals, a warm place to stay and more.
Natalie is predeceased by her husband Robert W Taylor, sons Paul and David Taylor; and husbands Lloyd Filmore and Fred Wheelock. She is survived by her children Cindy and Lorne Trudgian, Marjorie Taylor, James and Christine Taylor, Tom and Shari Taylor, and Becky and Jayson Vandermeer. She is also survived by many grandchildren (17) and great-grandchildren (15).
We welcome those who knew her to join us for a celebration of life on Friday, January 5th, 2024, at 1:00PM at the Hollis Center Church. She will be laid to final rest during Spring 2024 at Meeting House Hill Cemetery in Hollis.
If you would like to provide flowers they may be dropped off at the Hollis Center Church - 388 Hollis Rd, Hollis, ME 04042. In lieu of Flowers, a Memorial Contribution may be made to the Hollis Center Church (see above) or the Hospice of Southern Maine – 180 US Rt. 1, Scarborough, Maine 04074 for their support and comfort given to Natalie in her final journey.
