Edwin Lee “Skip” Allen, 80, of Anderson, passed away at home December 24, 2023 following an extended illness.
He was born on March 30, 1943, in Anderson, the son of Margret (Swallow) and Earl Edwin Allen. He attended Madison Heights High School and work 32 years for General Motors-Delco Remy and 7 years with Magnaquench. He had attended Grace Baptist Church and Anderson Baptist Church. Skip enjoyed woodworking, reading his Bible and martial arts, "flies and grounders” with this boys.
He is survived by his wife Lynda Ann (Reynolds) Allen, whom he married July 25, 1964; son, Bryan Wayne Allen (wife Mary Lynette Chipps Allen) ; grandchildren, Christian Michael Allen (wife Corinne Sackett Allen), Brandon Joel Allen, Bethany Danielle Allen, Joshua David Allen; great grandchildren, Aiden Michael Allen, Leia Irene Allen, Lucas James Allen; numerous half siblings; niece, Melissa Seals (husband Kenneth)
Skip was preceded in death by two sons; Tony Lee Allen and Timothy Aaron Allen; sister, Yvette Allen Addison; nephew, Robert Addison, and his parents.
Private family interment will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
