December 22, 2023 Denise Connolly Leary passed away peacefully. Denise was the daughter of the late Dorothy and John Connolly. She was pre-deceased in death by her sister Diane Connolly Zaniboni and her brother John Connolly Jr. She leaves behind her beloved son Paul Joseph Leary III. Her sisters, Dorothy Manning and Martin, Deborah McKinnon and James, Janice Connolly-Laubenstein, Judy Connolly, and her brother Edward Connolly And Patty Kennedy Connolly. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews Kara Reyes, Judy Sweeney Serino, Mia Zaniboni, Kelly McKinnon, Richard McCarthy, Jay Caples, Edward, Pat, and Abby Connolly, and her great nephews Jack and Gavin Reyes and her great nieces Maeve Reyes and Ruby Rose Serino. She also leaves behind aunts, uncles and cousins. Denise was a nurse for 36 years at Boston City Hospital/Boston Medical Center where she made many friendships and brought lots of laughter and helped countless patients with her tender loving care. She was also a longshoreman and Vice President of ILA local 800 where she also made many friends and brought laughter to them all. Denise enjoyed watching Judge Judy and TikTok videos, and being with family and friends where she brought so much love and laughter. She will be greatly missed by so many. Denise’s final wish was to say, Don’t vote for Donald Trump.
Visiting hours will take place in The Gate of Heaven Church, 615 East 4th Street, South Boston, Wednesday December 27 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Followed by her funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m.
