Barbara Jane Gomes, 84, of East Wareham, MA, died of natural causes on December 13, 2023.
She was born in Wareham in 1939 to Alice (Andrews) Gomes & Frank John Gomes. Barbara attended Wareham HS before studying Anatomy & Physiology at Laboure College in Boston. She retired happily after serving 40+ years at the Social Security Disability Determination Services office as an Administrative Assistant.
Barbara was preceded in death by her late husband John Coles of Boston & is survived by son Joseph M. Gomes of East Wareham, Grandson Brandon Gomes & wife Taylor of Carver, great grandsons Kingston & Kairo, brother Frank Gomes Jr. & wife Norma of Wareham, sister Jean Kibble & husband Frank Kibble Jr. of Middleboro, nieces Joy Gomes, Robyn Morales, Frances Gomes, Jessica Morales, Angela Ott & many more great nieces & great nephews.
To honor her wishes, there will be no funeral services. She will be with us all in spirit. We will remember her best for being a proud breast cancer survivor, her love of elephants, & written closing: “Blessings & Miracles.”
