Donna R. Terrell passed away peacefully at home on December 18, 2023 after a period of declining health. She was born in Lowell, MA on February 24, 1948 to the late Clifford William and Mary Elizabeth (Clark) Terrell. Donna spent the majority of her life in Billerica, MA where she attended the local schools.
She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Mello and her very special aunt, Hellen (Clark) Whitcomb with whom she shared many wonderful trips. Donna was a long-time member of the Billerica Tennis Club and won many singles and double tournaments. She was a New England sports fan with the Patriots being her favorite football team. Donna could often be found on the weekends watching multiple football games and checking her football pools. She loved to cook for family and friends and once the screen house went up on the deck in the spring that’s where you would find her, entertaining friends until the cold weather returned. An avid card player, she loved to visit with friends while enjoying a few hands of poker or games of Rummikub. Donna retired after a long career from Hardware Specialty Company, Inc. in Marlborough, MA.
Donna is survived by her nephew, Joseph Mello (Brenda) and his children, Taylor, Kendra and Dominic of Lowell, MA. She also leaves behind her dear friends, Janine Graham, Kathy Laposta, Debra Lister, Michael Lally, Donna Marino (also her caregiver) and many very special cousins. Donna is eternally grateful to Missy Martin, who cared for Donna these past few years.
On Thursday, December 28, friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the McDonough Funeral Home 14 Highland Street Lowell, MA from 9:00 to 10:00 am with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00 am at Saint Andrews Church, 45 Talbot Avenue, Billerica, MA. Interment will follow in the family lot at Saint Patrick Cemetery, 1251 Gorham Street, Lowell, MA.
