BUXTON- Joseph J. Mahony, age 55, raised in Bray, Ireland the son of James Anthony 'Tony' Mahony and Elizabeth 'Lilian' Mahony. Husband of the late Julia L. Mahony and father of Emily C. Mahony passed away in his home in Buxton, ME on December 14th, 2023.
Joe was a passionate man who shared his love through his poems, words and his beautiful craftsmanship in timber framing. Joe was loved and cherished by his family and many friends he has connected with throughout the years.
Joe's ashes will be scattered in a few places he held dear to his heart.
Joe's passing has left a gap in the hearts of all those that knew Joe. His jokes, poems, and late-night games of music quizzes will be forever missed.
A service will be held on Friday January 12th at 12 noon at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. The service will be streamed online for his family and friends back home in Ireland.
