Obituary

John D. “Jack” McDonald, a lifelong Newton resident, and founder of Albemarle Motors Inc., died Fri. June 30, 2006 at his home. He was 90. Born in Newton, Jack graduated from Newton High School in 1934, and served with the U.S. Navy during WW II.
Husband of the late Margaret “Peggy” (O’Leary) McDonald, he is survived by his sister in law Bea McDonald of Falmouth and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Michael McDonald, Alice Slattery, Thomas McDonald, and Edward McDonald.
Relatives and friends will gather at the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner on Thurs July 6 at 9 AM and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard’s Church, West Newton at 10 AM. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting hours will be in the funeral home on Wed from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may b made to Healthcare Dimensions Hospice Inc. 48 Woerd Ave. Waltham, MA 02453.
