Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 11 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-8pm.
Obituary
Edgar D. Fulton, Sr., 85 years died Friday morning at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton after a brief illness. Born in Truro Nova Scotia, son of the late George and Florence (Dewar) Fulton, he was educated in Canadian schools. During WWII he served with the Royal Canadian Air Force in the photographic squadron. He was a world renowned telegrapher. When coming to the United States in the late 1940’s he was a telegrapher for the New Haven Railroad in Boston. In 1954 he and his wife Jane founded the Edgar D. Fulton Real Estate Agency in Brockton. In 1965 he served as the First President of Greater Brockton Multiple Listing Service. He was also known as the “Dean of Real Estate”
In his free time he was an accomplished private aerobatic pilot flying out of Taunton Airport. He belonged to the Morse Telegraph Club and enjoyed classic cars.
In addition to his wife of 57 years he is survived by a daughter Nina Jane Fulton-Tolken and her husband Robert F. Tolken Jr. of Bourne, two grandchildren Samantha Jane Tolken and Robert Fulton-Tolken and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Edgar D. Fulton, Jr.
