Also survived by 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and more than 50 nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 9am. A funeral mass celebrating her life will be held in Christ the King Parish (formerly St. Colman Church) 42 Wendell Ave., Brockton, at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, N. Cary St., Brockton. Eleanor Fralick, 87, longtime volunteer, pianist
BROCKTON—Eleanor Rose (Jacoby) Fralick, 87, of Brockton died Friday June 30, 2006 after a brief battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Stanley M. Fralick, formerly of Stoughton.
Born June, 7, 1919 in Jamaica Plain, she was the seventh of nine children born to the late Henry Jacoby and Rose Diamond. She spent her early years in Jamaica Plain, later moving to the Hough’s Neck section of Quincy and then to South Boston. She graduated from South Boston High School in 1937.
She lived in Brockton for the past 57 years, and worked for many years at Brockton Cutting Die in Avon. After retirement, she was a volunteer at the Brockton Life Center for the Handicapped for more than 14 years.
A longtime member of St. Colman’s Church in Brockton, she volunteered at the church’s weekly Bingo games for more than a decade.
She will also be remembered for her piano playing and her love of music. She often entertained friends, family, senior citizen groups and clients of the Life Center with her playing, specializing in popular music from the 1930s and 1940s.
She is survived by one son, Robert W. Higgins of Quincy and three daughters, Judith Higgins Donohue of Lexington, MA and Bristol, NH; Kate Repice of Whitman and Lauren Holmes of Plymouth. In addition, she leaves 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and more than 50 nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by all her siblings: Leonard, Ralph, Walter, Herbert, William and Robert Jacoby, Carmelite Giniewicz and Marion Callahan.
A funeral mass celebrating her life will be held Friday at 10am in Christ the King Church (formerly St. Colman’s) 42 Wendell Ave., Brockton, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery on N. Cary Street.
