Norman G. O’Neill, age 86, passed away on Nov. 29, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born on April 20, 1937 in Claremont, NH, son of the late Gerald and Annette (Chatigny) O’Neill. Norman was a graduate from Ludlow High School. He served in the US Airforce and was a Korean War Veteran. Norman was a communicant of Mary Mother of Hope Parish and a member of the Castle of Knights, Knights of Columbus Council #4044 in Chicopee. He enjoyed to bowl and golf but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife Claire (Helie) O’Neill of Chicopee; his son Kevin O’Neill of Jacksonville, FL; stepson Gary Perreault of Chicopee; two step daughters, Karen Perreault and her husband Edwin Montes of Monson and Lynn Grise and her husband John Grise of Hollis, NH; two brothers, Michael O’Neill and his wife Linda of Southampton and Gerald “Gerry” O’Neill and his wife Carla of Kansas; two sisters, Kathleen Benoit of Chicopee and Maureen Ryan and her husband Billy of Belchertown; five beloved grandchildren, Shauna, Stephanie, Mercedes, Kayli and Isabella along with 2 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee with a Mass of Christian burial in Mary Mother of Hope Church at 11:00 AM.
