Heng "Henry" Zhou, 50, passed away on November 29th, 2023 in his home in Franklin, Massachusetts, surrounded by his loved ones and close friends, after a brave battle with cancer. He was the loving husband to his wife of 16 years, Qian Li, and the caring father to his two young children, Lida Zhou, 14, and Lillian Zhou, 11.
Heng was born in Beijing, China on December 31st, 1972. He studied engineering at Beijing Polytechnic University, and went on to a successful career as a Service Engineer in several medical equipment companies, after immigrating to Massachusetts in 2007. Heng was a loyal friend to many: highschool and university classmates, fellow members of his church, colleagues, and neighbors. He was known for his smile, his humor, his generosity, and his zest for life.
Besides his wife and children, Heng is survived by his father, Junwen Zhou, in Malden, Massachusetts, and mother, Jieyu Yang, and sister, Xiaoke Zhou, in Beijing, China.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 10am on Wednesday, December 6th in the Chinese Gospel Church of Massachusetts at 60 Turnpike Road in Southborough.
