John M. Perez, a longtime Medford resident passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Wednesday, November 22, 2023, following a short and unexpected illness. He was 75. John is the beloved husband of Claudria (Maiocca) Perez, together sharing nearly 47 years of marriage. Born in Tampa, Florida, he was the son of the late Edward and Julia (Reid) Perez.
John was raised and educated in Florida. He was a proud United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. When he returned home from the service he began his career as a talented design engineer. Most recently he worked as the Senior Vice President of Barrington Studios, designing and managing the manufacturing of specialized Christmas packaging. In his leisure time, John enjoyed a good cigar and an old fashion cocktail. He loved spending time in his backyard oasis, making sure everything was meticulously landscaped and in perfect order. However, his greatest joy was his family and nothing made him happier than to spend time with those he loved most and especially cherishing time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Claudria, John is survived by his children, Marissa Perez of Medford, Marc Perez and his wife Nicola of South Lake, Texas. He was the loving grandfather of Olivia, Pippa, Avery, and Sloan. Brother of Roy Perez of Florida and the late Roger Perez.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday, November 30th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Services will conclude with a celebration of life service and Military Honors beginning at 11 a.m. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in John's memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
