Jean Marie (Berlinguet) Katarousky, 69, of South Boston. passed suddenly on November 18, 2023.
Jean was born in Dorchester, MA to June Berlinguet and the late John Berlinguet, Jr. of Abington. She grew up in the Wollaston area of Quincy where she attended Wollaston Elementary, Central Junior High School, and North Quincy High School. She also attended Eastern Nazarene College and graduated from Bunker Hill Community College.
Jean was the devoted wife of John Charles Katarousky, (JK) of South Boston. She was also a loving mother of John C. Katarousky, Nicol-Elizabeth Katarousky and Patrick M. Katarousky of South Boston. Jean “Nini” was a proud grandmother to Lucas N Cesar-Katarousky, Mason I Katarousky, Viana Katarousky from South Boston. Jean was the eldest of 5. Loving sister to John Berlinguet of Duxbury. Nancy Glover of Abington. Paul Berlinguet of Falmouth and Joseph Berlinguet of Medford.
Jean loved and was loved by her many “adopted/bonus” children and treated them as her own. Jean worked hard for many years and was most proud to be a welder/burner in the Quincy Shipyard, as well as the Facilities Coordinator at the Franklin Park Zoo. She was active with the AZFA and accomplished many different kinds of keeper trainings. Jean was a proud member of the Columbia Yacht Club.
