Obituary

On November 19, 2023, Anna Brittni Deal, age 38 of Waycross, Georgia, peacefully passed into her heavenly home while surrounded by her closest loved ones.

Brittni was born in Tifton, Georgia to Mickey Thomas "Tommy" Ellington, Jr. and Tammy Ryan Ellington and was then lovingly raised in Fitzgerald. Early on, Brittni established God, family, love, kindness, and generosity as her core values in life, and she went on after high school graduation to pursue a career where those values would be lavishly poured out into the jobs and relationships she encountered along the way.

From South Georgia OMS in Valdosta to Fender-Goggans in Douglas to Brittni Deal Photography in Waycross, Brittni was known by all as a godly woman, devoted wife, incredible mother, precious daughter, beautiful sister, loyal friend, talented photographer, creative chef, avid bass fisher, and example of all things good, pure, and kind. Always leaving others better than before, she saw beauty in the broken, shared burdens with the hurting, and spoke love into those around her even until her final breath.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Cynthia Rodgers; paternal grandfather, Mickey Thomas Ellington, Sr.

Brittni is survived by her husband of twelve years, David Blake Deal, who were married on October 22, 2011; two children, Bailey Britt Deal (10) and Brooks Thomas Deal (7); her parents, Tommy and Tammy Ellington of Fitzgerald; twin sisters, Amanda Brooke Geeslin (husband Billy) of Senoia, GA and Allison Blair Floyd (husband Ben) of Douglas, GA; nephews, Mason Geeslin, Grant Geeslin, Cooper Floyd, Charles Floyd, and niece Maggie Geeslin; paternal grandmother, Mamie Ruth Ellington of Fitzgerald; maternal grandfather, Clarence Ryan of Bassett, VA; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Donald and Marilyn Deal of Waycross; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Blaine and Michelle Deal of Patterson and their children.

Brittni will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind. She had a remarkable way of touching the hearts and souls of those she met, knew, and loved, and because she lived as a true image of Christ, we can be certain her legacy and her life will not end with death.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 12 pm at Sweat Memorial Baptist Church, 510 W. Blackshear Ave., Waycross, GA 31503. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Waycross.

The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 10am until 11:45am at Sweat Memorial Baptist Church.
