Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Mary Helen (Adams) Guerrini, age 93, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the comfort of her home on Friday, November 17, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late retired Mansfield Police Sergeant Vincent A. Guerrini, Sr., to whom she was wed for sixty-eight years at the time of his death on February 17, 2022. Their lasting love for each other began with a wink.

Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on November 5, 1930, she was a loving daughter of the late Arthur and Marie (Pouliot) Adams.

Helen grew up and was educated in Attleboro. She was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, who were truly the greatest gift in her life. When younger, Mrs. Guerrini had worked at the former Fairfield Optical Company in Mansfield.

A resident of Mansfield for the past sixty-eight years, Helen was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield. She was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling, dancing, winter months spent in beautiful Fort Myers, Florida and relaxing at the beach. She was an excellent cook and Sunday dinners, with family around her, were always a special occasion. Helen also enjoyed having her fingernails done and will be fondly remembered for always looking her best.

She is survived by her devoted children: Vincent A. Guerrini, Jr. of Attleboro, Kevin A. Guerrini and his wife Leslie of Foxborough, Michael A. Guerrini and his wife Julie of Foxborough, JoAnn Guerrini and her partner Jack Keating of West Yarmouth and Brenda A. Varney and her husband Kevin of Oxford. She was the cherished grandmother of Kyla, Kyle, Elizabeth, Victoria and Isabella and the great grandmother of Colton James. She was the dear sister of Carol Habershaw of Tampa, Florida and her late husband Edward Habershaw. She was the much-loved sister-in-law of Shirley Truax and her husband Lloyd of Foxborough, Robert Guerrini and his wife Patti of Foxborough, Bernard Guerrini of Mansfield, who was pre-deceased by his wife Patricia Guerrini, Brenda Mignone and her husband Robert of Foxborough and the late Anna Senechal and Edward Guerrini. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
