Theresa V. Ragno, 87, of Pleasant View Avenue, died Thursday, June 29, 2006, at North Bay Manor. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Ragno. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Pietrantonio and Angelina (Correra) Russo.
Theresa was employed as a purchasing agent at Packings & Insulation Corporation, Providence. After retiring in 1984, she continued working for one day a week until 1999.
She was a member of the St. Philip Rosary & Altar Society, a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, and volunteer counter at church. She would bake cookies weekly and bring them to the shut-ins at Hebert Nursing Home.
She is survived by her four sons, Richard N. Ragno and his wife Celeste of Burrillville, Robert F. Ragno and his wife Carol of Cumberland, Ronald C. Ragno of Glocester, Russell P. Ragno and his wife Maryann of Smithfield, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, brothers Gaetano Russo of Napa Valley, CA, Pasquale F. Russo of Chatham, MA, Francis X. Russo of Wakefield, and a sister Julia Schewe of Columbia, MO. She was the sister of the late Elizabeth Land and Anna Lorenzo.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30am from the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route.44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Harrisville. Visitation Friday 4-7pm.
