Mario Diamante, 62 died Sunday June 25th in the Brigham & Women’s Hospital after an accident. He was the husband of Susan (Semerad) Diamante for 39 ½ years.
Born and brought up in Schenectady, New York, son of Mario and Louise (Padricelli) Diamante of Rotterdam, NY, a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and Dartmouth College.
He was past president of the Whitman Jaycees, an avid lover of dance, birds, soccer. Cooking was a passion of his as well as photography and volleyball. He loved to travel the U.S and Canada with his family.
He and his family volunteered at the Friends of Boston’s Homeless.
In addition to his wife of 39 ½ years Susan (Semerad) Diamante of Whitman, he is survived by a son David Diamante of Whitman; his parents Mario and Louise (Padricelli) Diamante of NY; his sister Nancy Stinney of Kingston NY; his mother-in-law Yvonne Semerad of Rotterdam, NY., his sister-in-law Debbie Isles of Ballston Spa, NY and his brother-in-law’s Steven and Peter Semerad, both of Rotterdam, NY; many nieces and nephews.
His memorial service will be held Monday July 3rd at 2:00 P.M. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman. Visiting hours Monday July 3rd 1:00-2:00 P.M..
