Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm.
Obituary
Mr. Relleva died Wednesday morning after a brief illness. He was the husband for 53 years of the late Rose (Rocha) Relleva.
Born in Brockton a son of the late Julius and Adelaida (Solomito) Relleva he remained a life long resident of the city. He attended Brockton schools and enlisted in the US Navy during WW II. He was stationed aboard an aircraft carrier in the Pacific Theater.
Mr. Relleva served as a Brockton firefighter for 32 years, retiring in 1984 from Station 5 on the Westside. In his younger years he worked in the family business Relleva Shoe Repair in downtown Brockton.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Boston sports fan. Mr. Relleva was a longtime member of the Brockton Bocce Club and Wedgewood Country Club in Brockton.
He is survived by two sons Wayne M. Relleva and his wife Christine of Foxboro and Alan R. Relleva and his wife Cindy of Brockton; two grandsons Michael Relleva and John Benner; a sister and brother Rose Callow of Brockton and Richard Relleva of Whitman
He also leaves several nieces and nephews and was the brother of the late John Relleva.
