Katherine Tyler Goolsby, 93, of Tifton passed away, Friday, March 4, 2005, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2005, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Jerry Lillard officiating. Mrs. Goolsby was laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Goolsby's friends served as pallbearers.
Born April 1, 1911, in Jasper County, Mrs. Goolsby was the daughter of the late Wiley Eugene Tyler and Annie Kate Nelson Tyler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roswell Powell Goolsby; two sons, Robert Eugene "Buddy" Goosby and Roswell Goolsby; and two sisters. She was a retired nurse; and she was a member of Tifton's First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Goolsby is survived by one daughter-in-law, Barbara Goolsby of Monticello; and two grandsons, Brian Goolsby and Matthew Goolsby.
