Obituary

Rodolfo Hurtado Jr. entered into rest on October 30, 2023 while vacationing in Mexico. He was born on July 28, 1986 to Rodolfo Hurtado Sr and Carmen Hurtado Ruiz in Prosser where he was raised and educated. He graduated from Prosser High School with the Class of 2004. Over the years, he worked at Wycoff Farms, Valley Pipe, 14 Hands Winery and helped at the family farm.
Rodolfo loved nature and spending time in the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking and biking. He was an avid Seahawk fan. He was a loving son, brother and uncle who enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his nieces and nephews.
Rodolfo is survived by his mother, Carmen Hurtado Ruiz of Prosser; his father, Rodolfo Hurtado Sr. of Grandview; brother, Alejandro Hurtado of Kennewick; sisters, Yuri Hurtado of Prosser, Valerie Hurtado of Kennewick and Genesis Durbin of Kennewick; and his grandparents, Salud Ruiz and Felipe Hurtado, both of Prosser. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Davian, Julian and Kaiden Orozco, Ariana Silva; and Myla and Maverick Durbin. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Elias Ruiz and Josephina Hurtado.

Visitation will be held at Prosser Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 8th from 4:00-7:00 pm with the Recitation of The Rosary beginning at 6:00. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 9th at 10:00 am. Concluding services and burial will follow in the Prosser Cemetery.
