Gerald Eason, Sr., 71, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Thursday, November 2, 2023, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 3 PM, Sunday, November 5, 2023, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Josh Bowles and the Rev. Dewain Joiner officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until the service hour at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Eason was born November 7, 1951, in Tift County, Georgia, to the late James Robert & Martha Faye McLellan Eason. He was retired from Orgill. Mr. Eason was a devoted husband and father. He worked hard to provide for his family. He had a love for music and would often be humming tunes. Mr. Eason was a member of the Ocilla Church of God and played the guitar with the praise band in his early years.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patricia Warren Eason, of Ocilla, Georgia and children: Gerald Eason, Jr. of Dahlonega, Angela Eason of Dawsonville; Anna Eason of Ocilla, Luis & Jordan Eason of Ocilla and Jada Eason of Ocilla. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Gay.
