Maidee Francis Casey Davis, 82, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2005, at Biloxi Regional Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi. Her funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2005, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. John S. Gibbs, Sr. officiating. Mrs. Davis was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis' nephews and grandsons served as pallbearers.
Born March 10, 1921, in Tifton, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Marvin Casey and Mary Nation Casey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Davis. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Davis is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, George Shannon and Jackie Davis of Tifton; two daughters, Betty Ann Haynes of Cuba, New York and Patricia C. Davis of Jacksonville, Florida; one sister, Minnie Pearl Varnadoe of Sparks; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
