Mildred Brooks Cason, 76, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2005, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 2005, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Calvin Bobo and the Rev. Ray Dawson officiating. Mrs. Cason was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Tony Snow, Brian Stephenson, Joel Bruce, Michael Miller, Bronzal Dixon and Allen Cason served as pallbearers.
Born October 29, 1928, in Brooks County, Mrs. Cason was the daughter of the late Henry Silas Brooks and Louise Wheeler Brooks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond H. Cason, who passed away in 1987; one son, Raymond Leighton Cason; one brother; and two sisters. She was a cosmetologist for 37 years and she had lived in Tift County for 42 years. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Cason is survived by one daughter, Ann Cason of Tifton; one sister, Monteal Willis of Sylvester; one granddaughter, Pamela Cason; one great-grandson, Seth Cason; and a good friend, Jeanette Handy.
