Margaret LeSueur Cromer, 86, of Chula passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2005, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Chula with the Rev. Larry Layfield officiating. Mrs. Cromer will be laid to rest at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Chula.
Mrs. Cromer's grandsons, Benji Adair, Mark Wynn, Randy Bankston, Sidney Cromer, Chris Cromer, Joe Cromer, Donnie Cromer and Shane Gaskins served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Mrs. Cromer's great-grandsons, Scotty Bankston, Jamie Wynn, Spencer Wynn, Robbie Riley, Justin Roberson, Zach Cromer, Logan Blackmon, Devin Rogers, Justin Carter, Jacob Carter and Jess Carter.
Brown July 12, 1918, in Tift County, Mrs. Cromer was the daughter of the late Stephen Drew LeSueur and Addit Calhoun LeSueur. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James P. Cromer, who passed away in 1987; and one brother, Lionell LeSueur. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Chula.
Mrs. Cromer is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Royce and Ann Cromer of Sycamore, Kenneth and Margie Cromer of Ashburn, Larry and Sue Cromer of Tifton and Dennis and Lila Cromer of Crawfordville, Florida; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Raymond Bankston of Locust Grove; one sister, Ann Pearman of Chula; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
