TEWKSBURY - Antonio N. “Tony” Casale, age 93, a resident of Tewksbury for the last 17
years, died Tuesday morning, June 27, at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell, after a
courageous nine year battle with renal failure. He was the husband of Mildred A. (Coppola)
Casale, who died on April 26, 1999.
He was born near Naples, Italy, on December 8, 1912, a son of the late Joseph and Maria
(Silvitelle) Casale, and emigrated to the U.S. at the age of four. He lived in Revere most of his
life, and moved to Tewksbury in 1989.
He was employed as a machinist at General Electric’s Riverworks in Lynn.
Since moving to Tewksbury, he was a communicant of St. William’s Church, and was an active
member of the Tewksbury Senior Drop-In Center. As a resident of Revere, he was active in the
Revere Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by one daughter, Carol Guay of Rialto, CA; a son-in-law Donald Miller of
Billerica; four grandchildren, Donald Miller Jr., of Tewksbury, with whom he resided, Jeffrey
Miller of Pelham, NH, Craig Miller of Billerica, Patricia Civitarese of Rialto, CA; and twelve great
grandchildren.
He was also father of the late Josephine Miller, and grandfather of the late David Guay.
His funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, July 1, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Burial followed at Fox Hill
Cemetery, Billerica. Memorials to the Tewksbury Senior Drop-In Center, Building Fund, 460 East St., Tewksbury,
MA 01876 will be appreciated.
