Obituary



Paul J. Cogan, of Woburn, passed away on Thursday, October 26th. He was 76. Born in Winchester, he was the cherished son of the late Henry and Margerat (Nagle) Cogan. Paul enlisted into the United Sates Army from Boston, serving during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged from the Army. Paul became a police officer and retired after a long and successful career for the Town of Acton.

Paul loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Paul’s family was his pride and joy. When Paul was not spending time with his family, he enjoyed watching the Bruins, Patriots and the Red Sox, reading a good book, watching the news and staying up to date with current events.

Paul was the beloved husband of the late Mildred (Gerry) Cogan. He was the devoted father of Brian Cogan, Michael Cogan and his wife Traci, and the late Kerrie Collman and her surviving husband Lyle. He was the loving grandfather of Zachary Collman, Jordyn Collman, Kylie Cogan, Madison Cogan, Michael Cogan Jr., Brayden Cogan and Rylie Cogan. He was the caring father-in-law of Andrea Cogan. He was the dear brother of Barbara Kelley.

Paul’s visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 1st, from 4 through 8 PM in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN. A funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Thursday, November 2nd at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with entombment at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
