Mary (Rose) Willis of Wellesley Hills, passed away June 26 at the Wayside Hospice Residence in Wayland. She was 86. Mrs. Willis was born in Wellesley in 1919 and was the daughter of the late Mary Rose. She was a long time Wellesley Resident and she worked for the New England Telephone Company for 44 years.
She was devoted mother of Richard H. Willis of Natick. She was the sister of John Rose of Cheshire, CT, Russell J. Rose of Needham, Richard Henry Rose of Wellesley Hills and the late Reginald and Francis Rose. She was the beloved aunt of Deborah Rose of Manchester, NH. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt. 16) Wellesley, on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Her funeral mass will be celebrated in St John the Evangelist Church, Wellesley Hills, at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Interment will be in St Mary's Cemetery, Needham.
