Therese Y. L'Etoile, 94, of New Bedford passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2023. She was the wife of the late Raymond L'Etoile for over 50 years until his passing.
Born in New Bedford daughter of the late Jean and Josephine (Cormier) Trahan, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Therese was active in the Fraternal Order of Eagles and was a devout catholic attending Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
She was a champion shuffle board player and a wonderful dancer. She enjoyed going to casinos.
Survivors include her son, Gerard L'Etoile and his wife Rosemary Anne of New Bedford; her daughters Susan McKay and her husband Donald of Fairhaven, and Sharon L'Etoile of Florida; her son-in-law Peter Rockwood; her grandchildren. Brian McKay, Chelsea L'Etoile-Lopes, Darcy L'Etoile-Lopes, Thomas L'Etoile-Lopes and Craig L'Etoile-Lopes; and 5 great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her daughter Cheryl L'Etoile.
Therese will have a graveside service held Monday, October 30th, 2023 at 12 Noon in Rural Cemetery Veterans' Section.
