Robert P. King Jr., 76, of Derry, NH, died Thursday, October 19, 2023, in Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, NH. He was born on October 13, 1947, in Salem, MA, a son of Pike and Constance (Eldred) King.
Robert enjoyed sailing, gardening, carpentry, birdwatching, and teaching his children these skills. Every room in his house showed evidence of his building abilities. He was a family man who cared deeply for his wife and children. He had a wry sense of humor and a great generosity.
Robert was MIS manager of computer at Teledyne Electronic Technologies for 27 years. He was a sergeant in the Massachusetts National Guard for 11 years. He was patriotic and loved history, and he served his country with honor.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret (Bobalek) King; son, Michael King; two daughters, Laura Miles, and Alice King and two grandchildren, Nate and Zach. He is predeceased by his sister Nancy King.
Following cremation, the burial will be held on June 10, 2024 at 11am in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Rd., East Derry.
