TAUNTON… Audrey D. (Mattos) Carlos, age 87, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA.
Born in Raynham, MA, Audrey was daughter of the late Lucien and Alexandria (Dupont) Mattos. She was also the former wife of Joseph H. Carlos, Jr., with whom she remained friends until his passing.
Audrey was a lifelong resident of the Taunton-Raynham area. She remained nearby her older brother, Arthur Mattos. She was deeply independent throughout her life and enjoyed the quiet of home. Audrey was a cat person through and through and loved the company of a feline friend. She was also known for her love of a good cup of coffee.
Survivors include: daughter, Deborah Carlos of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Arthur Mattos of Taunton, MA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, the late Barbara.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA 02723. Calling hours will take place 2-4 PM in the funeral home prior to the service.
