Caroline Dixon Caswell, 88, a lifelong resident of Rocky Brook passed away on September 21, 2023. She was born on January 25, 1935 to Elizabeth Anna Dixon and William L Caswell. She is survived by her sister, Marian Joan Streeter of East Greenwich and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece.
Caroline graduated from South Kingstown High School in 1953. For 25 years she worked for the State of Rhode Island as an Experience Rating Supervisor. In her retirement, she utilized her skills volunteering for over 20 years in the office at St. Francis of Assisi Church on High Street in Wakefield. She loved playing bridge and attained the level of Life Master in 1972 before retiring from competition.
She was predeceased by her siblings Margery Hunt, Nancy Caswell, Wilma Samiagio, Paul Caswell and Mary-Frances “Muffy” Esty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 16 at St Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield, at 10 AM. Burial will be private. Donations in Caroline’s name can be made to St. Francis Church of Assisi, 114 High Street, Wakefield, RI 02879.
