Obituary

James “Jim” Vincenzi, 71, of Plymouth, Massachusetts died peacefully at his home on October 8.

He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1951 and spent most of his life in Plymouth. He was the son of Elizabeth Rossi and Sebastiano Vincenzi who both predeceased him.

Jim worked as the Operations Director at Dunkin Brands for 48 years and took great pride in his career. Starting as a 16-year-old employee, James rose through the ranks quickly at Dunkin’ as a result of his work ethic and passion, becoming the youngest director in the company at just 24 years old.

After his retirement, one former Dunkin’ employee sent him an email saying, “Your authenticity and directness was appreciated and your impact to Dunkin' has been tremendous. You are a legend man!”

Jim was an outstanding leader, and had a lasting impact on countless people throughout his life. His affective presence and affable nature was felt any time he’d walk into a room.

After retirement, Jim spent his early mornings fishing on the Cape Cod canal and his afternoons playing golf with his sons Matthew and Brian. “Papa Jim” loved playing with his grandchildren Lincoln, Luca and Nico and watching them grow.

He loved watching the Pembroke High School basketball games, where his son Matthew coached.

Jim was the Loving father of Matthew Vincenzi, Brian Vincenzi, James Vincenzi, and Francine Dubriske and the brother of Linda Stevens, Lenore Marek, Mary Breza, and Peter Vincenzi. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Jim’s visiting hours will be held Friday October 13, from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, with a service to follow at 7:00 PM.
