Obituary


TEWKSBURY: Paul G. Genaris, age 88, a resident of Tewksbury for 25 years, died Friday, June 23, 2006 at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford.
He was the husband of Eva G. (Perella) Genaris.
Born in Haverhill, MA on August 1, 1917, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Caisis) Genaris.
Mr. Genaris was raised in Haverhill and Boston.
He attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Boston English High School.
Mr. Genaris served during World War II in the U.S. Army with Troop B, 74th Construction Squadron. He was honorably discharged from active duty on July 24, 1946, having earned the rank of Sergeant.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a sales person by the Pepperidge Farms Food Corporation.
Mr. Genaris was a 50 year member and former minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was most recently a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Wilmington.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son; Paul Genaris and his wife Linda of West Palm Beach, FL; one daughter; Lisa King and her husband Kevin of Ipswich; two grandchildren; Karen and Jeffrey; also one great grandson.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 30th, at 7 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall, 1 Bridge Lane, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
