FALL RIVER - Joseph S. “Joe Pete” Ferreira Jr., 64, of 1863 Pleasant St. Fall River, died Saturday in Fall River at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Shirley (Pacheco) Ferreira of Fall River and the late Patricia (Barboza) Ferreira. He is survived by 3 daughters: Kim Marie Spooner and her husband Tom, Cheryl Ann Ferreira, and Diane Ferreira all of Fall River, 1 Sister: Nancy Oliver of Assonet, MA, 3 Grandchildren, 1 Great-grandson, Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews. He was also the brother of the late Nicholas Ferreira and Christina Lopes.
Born in Fall River, the son of the late Joseph S. Ferreira and the late Christina (Souza) Ferreira. He was a life long resident of Fall River. Before retiring, he had worked as a Foreman for Pioneer Finishing Co. in Fall River. He had previously worked for the former Sterling Whales Co. in Fall River.
His funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Fall River, MA on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery.
