Obituary

Peter was an active and lifelong resident of Belchertown, MA. He took great pride in his accomplishments within Belchertown and cared very much for his friends and fellow residents. Peter was an adventure seeker, always living in the moment and capturing his audience, leaving you with a lasting impression.
Peter became independent at the age of 15. He lived in an apartment above the Belchertown Pharmacy where he worked until he graduated High School. He then served in the National Guard Reserves. Peter became the “Keebler Cookie Man”, in his words, selling and delivering cookies to locations around New England. This is where Peter got the taste of what it was like to be an entrepreneur. He took his entrepreneurial spirit and opened a Barbershop and Hair Salon in Belchertown.
Years after, he sought out his next adventure, Real Estate. Peter was the Broker at Crest Real Estate and developed several subdivisions and neighborhoods for families to live for generations. In addition, he owned and managed a couple of plazas in Belchertown.
Peter was a proud owner of Video Studio 19. He and his partner, Ron Roy owned many other Video stores in neighboring towns. Together they employed many locals including High School Students. He was extremely generous in supporting and sponsoring town sports and school activities.
Peter’s Sunday ritual was watching NASCAR and Football. His favorite team was the New England Patriots. He was a passionate season ticket holder of the Patriots and attended almost every home game.
Peter was passionate, took risks, loved deeply, and will be dearly missed by many of his close friends, friends he considered family. In memory of Peter, there will be a celebration of his life which will take place at the McCarthy’s Pub in Belchertown, MA on Saturday, October 7 at 2pm.
