Obituary

Goldmeer of Brockton June 24, 2006 Morris Goldmeer 79 years, Husband of Josephine (Ciccarello) Goldmeer. Father of Janice Stone, Lieutenant Colonel Retired US Army of Alexandria VA and Karen Spath of Millis. Brother of Joseph Goldmeer of AZ, Betty Pisano of Boston and the late Charlotte Rasmussen. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123) Brockton, Monday 6-8 pm with a prayer service at 7pm. Graveside committal service Tuesday in the Massachusetts National Cemetery , Bourne at 10:30 am. In memory of Morris donations may be made to the American Legion Inc Post 35 156 W Elm St. Brockton, MA 02301.

Mr. Goldmeer died Saturday morning in the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. He was born in Boston son of the late Samuel and Helen (Ober) Goldmeer moving to Brockton many years ago.
Morris enlisted in the Merchant Marines at age 18 during WWII, serving as a Fireman on the Alcoa Pilgrim in the South Pacific. He then enlisted in the US Army stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He traveled to Washington DC two years ago for the dedication of the WWII memorial and to honor his fellow soldiers who lost their lives during this Great War. Morris was a Proud American whose military service to protect his country was one of the most important accomplishments of his life. He has remained an active member of the American Legion Post 35 in Brockton.
He was a retired salesman for the Electronics Industry.
