Evelyn E. (Gerrard) Clemens, of Medford, passed away Thursday, September 21st. She was 90. Born and raised in Whittlesey, United Kingdom. She was the cherished daughter of the late Frederick Gerrard and Delsey Redhead.
Evelyn’s biggest passion was her family. She especially loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Evelyn’s family was her pride and joy, they were her world. She was a devoted wife, a dedicated mother, loving grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed
When Evelyn was not spending time with her family, she was out shopping looking for the next best bargain or in her garden. She had a natural green thumb and loved all types of flowers. Evelyn’s garden was constantly blooming due to her meticulous care of it.
Evelyn was the beloved wife of 67 years, to the late Richard E. Clemens. She was devoted mother of Helen (Clemens) Shirtcliff and her husband William, Jeannie (Clemens) Kozlowski and her husband Thomas, Edward Clemens and his wife Jill, and Evelyn (Clemens) Franzese, and her husband David. She was the loving grandmother of Christopher Shirtcliff and his wife Flora, Jillian (Shirtcliff) Carter and her husband Nick, Richard Lipinski and his wife Michelle, Jacqueline (Clemens) Dolezal and her husband Rob, Joshua Shirtcliff and his wife Kaitlyn, Stacie (Clemens) Lang and her husband Mike, Benjamin Franzese, Rebecca (Franzese) McGuirk and her husband Bryan, David Lipinski and his wife Allison, Matthew Lipinski, Jamie Clemens and Olivia Clemens. Evelyn is also survived by fifteen loving great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be celebrated in the Grace Episcopal Church, 160 High St., Medford, on Tuesday, September 26th at 1 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
