HIRAM- Stephen Nelson, age 73, passed away on September 17, 2023, at his home. He was born in
Portland, Maine on December 14, 1950, a son of Henry Nelson and Athena Keniston. He went to
Deering High School and proudly served in the Vietnam War with the Army. Upon returning home from war,
he married Denise Kelly Nelson who he loved with all his heart.
He enjoyed fishing, hiking, playing pool, throwing back a cold one, relaxing, and spending time with his family.
He is predeceased by his brother John Nelson, his beloved wife, Denise Nelson, and his father, Henry Nelson.
Stephen is survived by his two sons, Mike Nelson, and Steven Nelson; and grandchildren; Steven Nelson,
Alayna Nelson, and Aiyana Nelson.
A funeral service will be held on October 7, 2023, at 3 PM at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish.
