NICCOLI, Joseph A. Lifelong resident of Wellesley, September 15, 2023. Beloved son of the late Charles and Mary (Mortarelli) Niccoli. Brother of Mary Lizotte and her late husband Richard of Leominster, the late Jennie Resteghini and her late husband John and the late Louisa Piacentini and her late husband Peter. Uncle of John Resteghini, Joan Resteghini, Mary Havican, Linda LaColla, Anne McGill, Pamela Carrescia, and Brian Lizotte. Also survived by many great-nieces and nephews. Longtime partner of the late Ruth Sullivan.
Joe was a Korean War Veteran, U.S. Army and a retired Engineer for the Town of Wellesley. He was a member of the Italo American Club of Wellesley and an active parishioner of St. Paul’s Church, Wellesley. The family would like to thank the staff at Elizabeth Seton Residence for the kindness and compassion given to Uncle Joe.
A visitation will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) Wellesley on Monday, Sept. 25 from 9:00-10:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Wellesley at 11:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham.
