Barbara Lois Hardy, passed away September 12, 2023 in Medway, Massachusetts. Barbara was born February 4, 1932 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Ethel and Eric Dobson. Barbara grew up in Fairhaven, Massachusetts and graduated from her beloved Fairhaven High School.
Barbara was an voracious reader, loved perennial gardening, and raising her five children.
Beloved wife of the late Richard E. Hardy, and is survived by her sister Glenna Pelton of Mystic, CT, brother James Dobson of East Hartford, CT, was the sister of the late Elinor Dobson, and her the late brother Eric Dobson jr. Also survived by her son Philip, his wife Patricia, of Franklin, MA, Peter Hardy, of Worcester, MA, and Richard Hardy, his wife Lori, of Murietta, CA. She was predeceased by her son David Hardy, and daughter Martha Hardy. She was the loving grandmother of five grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be a private memorial service and she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Richard.
