METHUEN: Joan E. (Olivier) Batcheller, age 67, a resident of Methuen for three years, formerly a longtime resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, following an apparent heart attack.
She was the wife of Shirley Alden “Sonny” Batcheller, who died February 2, 2003.
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on December 28, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (Bruno) Olivier.
Mrs. Batcheller was raised and educated in Red Bank, New Jersey.
During the Korean Conflict, she served as a hospital and Red Cross volunteer.
Prior to the birth of her six children, she was employed as a bookkeeper.
She will be sadly missed by her family; Shirley, Jim, Stephanie, Hazel, Melissa, Jim, Darien, Anthony, Christine, Patrick, Jason, Mary, Rob, Clarissa, Dawn, Joshua, Nichole, David, Christopher, Joseph, Chris, Eric and Sidney.
At the request of the family there are No Calling Hours. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
