James “Buddy” Alan Davis was born in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Vinnie M. Davis and James E. Davis. He was educated in the Boston Public school system and graduated from Madison Park High School. James was married to Elaine Dixon Davis from Boston and together they raised a beautiful daughter, Jahcelynne Amari Dixon.
James leaves a devoted and loving family to cherish his memory, loving wife Elaine Dixon Davis, daughter Jahcelynne Amari Dixon; stepson Tony Dixon (Majestic); grandchildren Merellus, Mercilus and Deyali; father James E. Davis; grandmother Viola Boyd; siblings Kevin Davis (Bevette); Pannie Davis; Shawn Davis; Keith Davis (Theresa); father-in-law Dexter Dixon; sister-in-laws Linda Dixon, Daisy Dixon; brother-in-law Dexter Dixon; and a host of family and friends.
