Elizabeth “Libby” Peter, born and raised in Franklin, recent resident of Mansfield, was unexpectedly taken from her loved ones on September 5, 2023 in a tragic motor vehicle accident.
She was the precious daughter of Andrew and Lauren Duffy-Peter of Franklin and the treasured sister of Victoria Duffy and Cassius Peter. She was a beloved aunt to Maxxim Duffy, Mariza Duffy, and Miloh Duffy. She is also survived by her grandfather Charles Peter of Hingham and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also leaves behind a devoted boyfriend Connor Moroney of Mansfield.
She is predeceased by her grandparents, James and Carol Duffy of Dedham, then later Norwood and by her grandmother Trudy Peter of Quincy.
Libby was a teacher’s aide at The Education Cooperation in Walpole, MA. She previously worked at the Wrentham Developmental Center for many years as a direct care worker. She cared deeply for the students and residents under her care.
Libby loved singing, helping others, and all sorts of creative pursuits. She was incredibly passionate about helping animals and people alike. She danced to the beat of her own drum throughout her life and will be remembered lovingly for all the light she brought to the world.
Calling hours are Monday, Sept. 11th, in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 5-8 PM.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass Tuesday morning Sept. 12th in St. Mary's Church, Franklin at 10 AM.
Interment will follow immediately afterwards at the parish cemetery.
